Closure information for TSC families
Sue Scott

Dear TSC Families,

Today we made the difficult decision to move to an extended spring break for all TSC schools out of an abundance of caution related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The TSC will observe spring break from March 16 through March 31. Classes will resume April 1 and will be conducted using remote learning instructional delivery methods until at least April 3. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide you an update prior to April 3 on when face-to-face instruction will resume.

Teachers will instruct students to take home necessary materials at the end of the day. The schools will be open during normal school hours with limited staff Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17 to give families the opportunity to come into school buildings to get any items they may need for the extra time off, such as picking up prescription medications from the school nurse.

Based on guidelines from the Indiana Governor’s Office and the Tippecanoe County Health Department, all school related activities, extracurricular events and practices are postponed until further notice.

This is an unprecedented time and we understand the disruptions this situation is causing to our schools and community. We appreciate your patience and understanding. More information about remote learning expectations can be found on the TSC website under the academics tab; click here. Additional communication will be shared by school administrators and/or your child’s teacher on or after March 30.

If you have any questions in the meantime please contact your school principal or your child’s teacher. Thank you for your support in helping to keep our students and community safe.

Sincerely,

TSC Superintendent Scott Hanback
